Ink & Insight - Issue 1(September 2025)

Dear Crafters! 📝

We're excited to welcome you to the very first edition of Ink & Insight

This e-magazine is our way of celebrating 🎉 the magic that happens when words and imagination come together.

Inside, you'll find poems, stories, and heartfelt creations from our members - along with a special spotlight on books that deserve to be celebrated. Think of this as a cozy corner where creativity is shared, cheered and passed on.

We hope you enjoy reading as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you. Here's to many more pages of inspiration!

With love, The Content Crafters Team.

Jui Purohit,

Founder, Content Crafters.

Editor, Ink & Insight.

 Hello readers!

I'm a published poet and a writer who collects words -just like we collected stamps in our childhood: too many yet not enough! Ergo, my first book of poetry is 'Words became Poetry'.

I blog, scribble poetry, weave stories, wrestling with sentences until they get tamed. My corner is where stories collide with caffeine.

And I wear two hats here -as the founder of Content Crafters and the editor of this magazine,

Ink & Insight.

Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world, and I know many of you feel the same. That's why I created Content Crafters: to build a community where creativity finds both encouragement and belonging.

This magazine is our collective heartbeat -filled with words, poems, and stories that make us who we are. As you turn these pages, you'll find creativity, courage, and heart -all crafted by our members. I hope this magazine not only celebrates their voices but also inspires you to share your own.

                                                   --------------------------------------------------

Deepa Vishal,

Creative Partner, Content Crafters.

Co-editor, Ink & Insight.

Hello readers!

I'm a reader by choice and a writer by chance. I'm also a published author.

Writing fuels me up and adds value to my days. Being in the company of readers and writers is my idea of bliss.

It has always been a dream to belong to a community of writers and readers, who share same interests. When I got this opportunity of joining the team of Content Crafters, I instantly agreed. I found it an eventful juncture, making my dream come true.

This e-magazine, Ink & Insight, is a celebration within our community. Here we nurture a space where words connect us, inspire us, and remind us of the power we hold as creators.

                                   -------------------------------------------------------------------

Ranjit Kaur,

Creative Partner, Content Crafters.

Co-editor, Ink & Insight.

Hello readers!

Words and I share a bond. My words voice my inner callings and help me map the course of

my journey. They allow me to express what I feel, affirm what I believe and share what I muse upon. Each sentence that I pen down is an exhibit of my mind, and reflection of the world as I see it.

Recently, my words have found a new channel to share the joy of writing with a like minded community that believes in collective flourishing. As a creative partner of Content Crafters, I have had the wonderful opportunity to curate prompts and writing challenges.

The most rewarding part has been to see each prompt metamorphose into a unique story reflecting the vision of each writer.

And we continue this journey, expanding our venture through this e-magazine Ink & Insight. Let us ensure that every thought gets a befitting story, and every story is celebrated with ‘OUR’ words -turning ordinary moments into soulful musings.

- Ananya Gadade

Date: 16th September

Prompt – Inspirational message/quote/poem

Winning entry –

A blissful morning, a wave of breeze, the warmth that fills within.

The expanse of blue, the shining sun, the peach color of our skin.

None of this ever bothers us, only take and give,

an egoistic point of view, covers the way to live.

It is as if this will stay forever, when it’s of no use when we die,

time is precious, life is short, our aim is very high.

So wake up with a hope to live, let the driving force within,

even if you trip and fall, let it be a win!

- Vrinda Ramesh

Date: 23rd September

Prompt – Faith

Winning entry

When the lantern begins to dim, and the seas are dark turbulent,

the map leads to uncharted lands, and the skies point to the unknown;

then amidst the tempest, even in the wild and stormy waters,

the beacon inside your heart and soul, keeps sanity from hurling overboard,

and it is this beacon that we worship and nurture – a miraculous force of human nature,

a faith so strong and true, it defies the order we restrict ourselves to,

It leads us to our fullest potential, to reach feats untold,

and to the ultimate destruction – and the rebirth of our soul.

it is but a name, a thought, a hope.

A faith that drives us in this unending circle of life and the uncertain.

- Ananya Gadade

Date: 30th September

Prompt – Theme of victory/win – Dussehra / Vijayadashami

Winning entry

The ten heads fall, and the pride,

on Vijaya Dashami, where truth cannot hide.

A fire starts within, where shadows used to be,

this is the moment of personal victory.

Dussehra means the battle we can win,

when we choose the correct path or light, and the triumph begins.

- Bhawana Sethi

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Wordplay Wednesdays a weekly challenge on Facebook, gives our writers a chance to spin a 100 word story on the given prompt. A prompt that instantly sparks imagination and nudges you to come up with a narrative that can be heartfelt, quirky or even one that leaves the readers with goose bumps.

Week 1:

Prompt: Write about your day as if you were the villain in your own story.

Winning post:

Today, I was wickedly delicious. I wolfed down the last cookie alone, smiled evilly while my to-do list cried out in abandonment, and deliberately let my phone battery drain—just to avoid calls. I gloated while watching shows nonstop instead of working, sipping tea like a villain. Exercise? Outlawed. Laundry? Sent to another day. Productivity pleaded for clemency, but I spun my invisible cape and told it, "Not today! The world needed a hero; what it got was me—villain of idleness, snack champion, plan destroyer. And honestly? It was amazing. Tomorrow, perhaps I'll change. But today, mayhem tasted too sweet.".

- Sujata Maggoo

Week 2:

Prompt: Write about your day as if you were the hero of your story, What victory would you celebrate today.

Winning Post:

It was almost close to the bewitching twilight hour as I packed the last mango pickle to be shipped the next day. I wiped my greasy palms on a kitchen towel before placing each jar gingerly into a brown carton box.

I gestured to Ratna to paste the labels of the co-operative society on the remaining jars. She shed a tear and swallowed hard before she said, "You saved me from two years of debt-ridden sleepless nights when I had nowhere to go."

I reminisced about the day I met her, lost for words, and I felt like a hero.

- Vandana Ashok Kumar

Week 3:

Prompt: If you were a detective investigating your day, what would be the headline in your case file?

Winning Post:

The ancient Nancy box sat unsolved. The note read, “Truth lies in the overlooked.” My case file for the day, The Case of My Own Unseen Variables, lay open. I started my research. A phone screen covered in digital dust, a reminder of lost hours, served as the proof. My messy desk, where unfinished ideas were hidden beneath old receipts, was the crime scene. The motivation was to find a secret that I believed to be outside of myself. Then it made sense. The analysis of my own day contained the answer to the puzzle, not the box. The greatest mysteries are frequently found right in front of us. That was Nancy straightforward secret.

- Bhawana Sethi

In the midst of the chaos, my ink bleeds the truth of my soul!

Cubbon's bench waits,

Golden leaves on concrete gates,

The city meditates.

- Bhawana Sethi

My backpack is a treasure trove of emotions; it contains the greens of nature and the traces of a path less taken, with my soul redefined!

Where creativity rhymes! 🎵

Sometimes prose isn't dramatic enough, so we need tiny lines and big feelings.

Verses that linger -

  • Fascinating Shapes:

        Jui Purohit.

Shapes and it's geometry always amaze me,

Every lock has specific design to let in it's key....

Spiders web is an astounding shape,

Once the prey enters, there's no escape....

Round rotis, triangular paranthas, and lacchas with swirls,

Dancing to your favourite music in circles and twirls....

Aerodynamic shapes of automobile,

Cutting winds, maneuvering the round wheel....

Trees along the linear road, short and tall,

Myriad molds of greens to see, coercing us to stall....

Butterflies in beautiful forms they flutter,

Visiting patterns of flowers for nectar....

Contours of mountains up and above,

Amorphous ocean makes you fall in love....

  • The chosen one:

Ranjit Kaur.

I am chosen to be happy, to thrive, glow,

and bloom,

Not for darkness to consume.

I am chosen to shine bright,

With an aura piercing through the night.

I am chosen to take some rest,

Rather, serving this life as a test.

I am chosen to sway and groove,

Frolicking my moves.

I am chosen to dress and groom,

To my life songs, hum & croon.

I am chosen to wear pretty suits,

With salwar or blazer and boots.

I am chosen to recover and heal,

Soaring with my mighty zeal.

I am chosen to be guilt free,

Even if I fall at social decree.

Yes, I am the chosen one,

Under the million stars, the only moon

and sun.

  • A season of letting go:
Deepa Vishal.

As you usher in longer nights and shorter days,

as the leaves from the trees, part ways,

Dear Autumn, through stark realities you show,

that there is beauty in letting go.

You show that death can be beautiful too,

when, just before drying, the leaves take

on a golden hue.

The tree seems ablaze with the grief of parting,

but it knows, this separation is just a moment

fleeting,

for anew and afresh, the leaves would soon fill

up the tree;

perhaps, with this knowledge, the old leaves

are set free!

Life and death, death and life, thus goes the

never-ending circle,

Autumn, you remind us that life is beautiful,

even though it's fickle.
